Artist Statement

Bitter Sweet Victory is a psychological self-portrait. The mask signifies the hidden self-masking of pain, the red circles are the metaphorical boxing gloves of a fighter, and the green color represents melancholy and sadness. The fighter is dazed by the pain but still standing to fight.
